The Ye Olde Pepper Companie is located across the street from the House of Seven Gables. You would most likely be coming from the downtown area, so you would walk down Derby Street until you arrive at the Ye Olde Pepper Companie on your left. The tour meets outside of the Ye Olde Pepper Companie.

You will learn about the candy shops here in Salem, about the history of candy, and you will get to see historic sites along the way. The tour does allow people to go inside the candy shops. However, time is limited, and the tour guide must be mindful of the time and people on the tour. It is supposed to be a sightseeing tour where you get to learn about candy and the candy shops in Salem. So, the tour operates by stopping at the candy shop, the licensed guide speaks about the candy shop and historical information about candy. Then you go to the next stop. The Ye Olde Pepper Companie is only one of the many stops on the tour.
